The Beginning
Amid growing chaos in the outer systems and increased tensions with the Vanduul, the year 2921 marked a turning point for many independent captains, traders, scientists, and ex-military operatives. Disillusioned by the inaction of corporations and the slow grind of UEE bureacracy, they banded together under a single banner: Astra Union.
What began as a mutual aid pact between a handful of frontier crews quickly evolved into a fully-gledged organization —- one comitted to operating with independence, strength,, and unity in all sectors of the Verse.

Early Growth
In its formative years, Astra Union focused on securing its foothold. Members patrolled trade routes, responded to distress calls, and escorted convoys through pirate-infested space. The Union gained a reputation for discipline, reliability, and resilience.
Thanks to its inclusive structure and no-nonsense leadership, the Union attraaceted a wide variety of professionals: haulers, bounty hunters, miners, scientists, explorers, medics, and engineers —- all bound by the belief that cooperation is the only true currency among the stars.

The Great Expansion
By 2930, Astra Union operated across multiple systems. Divisions were formed to better coordinate their growing fleet and missions.

It is feared by pirates, respected by traders, and admired by settlers. The Union maintains neutral diplomatic relations, choosing cooperation where possible and resistance when necessary.
